每一期里面可能会有许多重复出现的词汇可以帮助大家巩固。

1.hang in（on）there：

英语解释：to remain brave and determined when you are in a difficult situation

中文解释：当你处于困境时保持勇敢和决心

2.be/get/run/etc. out of control ：（etc是等等的意思）

英语解释：to be or become impossible to manage or to control 

中文解释：无法管理；失去控制

例句：The children are completely out of control since their father left.

这些孩子自他们的父亲离开后就无法无天了。

3.lift：动词（verb）

英语解释：to make someone feel more cheerful and hopeful 

中文解释：使某人开心起来，使某人振奋

例句：Carlos had come back that lifted everyone.

意思就是特维斯的和回归让大家感到很亢奋。

4.the fold：名词（noun）

英语解释：the group of people that you belong to and share the same beliefs and ideas as 

中文解释：同一群体的人，志同道合的人

例句：Carlos Tevez is fully welcomed back into the fold.

意思就是特维斯完全回归融入了集体

5.warm up：名词（noun）

英语解释：a set of gentle exercises you do to prepare your body for sport, dancing etc

中文解释：〔运动、跳舞等前做的〕热身运动，准备活动 

例句：Carlos refused to warm up

特维斯拒绝热身

6.carry-on：名词（noun）

英语解释：a situation in which someone behaves in a silly or annoying way 

中文解释：愚蠢[令人恼火]的情况

例句：What a carry-on!

真不像话！

7.substitution：名词（noun）

英语解释：when someone or something is replaced by someone or something else, or the person or thing being replaced 

中文解释：〔人或物的〕代替，替换；替代品，替代的人

例句：Coach Ross made two substitutions in the second half.

罗斯教练在下半场两次换人。

8.squad：名词（noun）

英语解释：a group of players from which a team will be chosen for a particular sports event 

中文解释：〔为参加某体育比赛而组成的〕运动队；球队

例句：the Italian World Cup squad

代表意大利参加世界杯的球队

9.Munich：地名

英语描述：an industrial city in southern Germany, and the capital of the province of Bavaria, whose German name is München. It is known especially for its attractive old buildings and for the beer festival, that takes place there every October.

中文名字：慕尼黑

10.ego：名词（noun）

英语解释：

英语解释：the opinion that you have about yourself 

中文解释：自我，自我意识

例句：Tevez has the biggest ego (=thinks he is very clever and important) of anyone I’ve ever met.

11.truce：名词（noun）

英语解释：an agreement between enemies to stop fighting or arguing for a short time, or the period for which this is arranged 

中文解释：休战，停战（协定）；停止争辩（协议）；停战期 

例句：They agreed to call a truce.

12.genuine：形容词（adj）

英语解释： a genuine feeling, desire etc is one that you really feel, not one you pretend to feel 

中文解释：〔感情、欲望等〕真正的，真实的

例句：‘Did he really?’ Her surprise seemed genuine.

“他真的这样？”她好像是真的惊讶。

13.miracle：名词（noun）

英语解释：something very lucky or very good that happens which you did not expect to happen or did not think was possible 

中文解释：意外的幸运事，不可思议的事；奇迹

例子：The Camp Nou Miracle

14.stunning：形容词（adj）

英语解释：extremely attractive or beautiful 

中文解释：极具吸引力的，极漂亮的

例子：stunning strike

漂亮的打击，在足球中就是漂亮的进球的意思

15.title：名词（noun）

英语解释：the position of being the winner of an important sports competition 

中文解释：〔重大体育比赛中的〕冠军

例子：Premier League title：英超冠军的意思

16.in vain：英语解释：without success in spite of your efforts 

中文解释：徒劳，无结果

例子：Despite the chase appearing to be in vain

在视频中的意思就是尽管曼城的追赶看起来是没用的

17.frustrated：形容词（adj）

英语解释：feeling annoyed, upset, and impatient, because you cannot control or change a situation, or achieve something 

中文解释：懊丧的，懊恼的，沮丧的

例子：We played a frustrated performance in this season

这个赛季我们的表现很糟糕

18.nil：名词（noun）

英语解释：nothing 

中文意思：无；零

例子： MU seven Liverpool nil

意思就是曼联7比0利物浦（狗头）
